Overview of the Position
This position oversees project supply chain management and material sourcing across active construction sites in Riyadh. The role bridges technical engineering submittals with vendor negotiation, contract awards, and logistics scheduling to support civil and MEP procurement deliverables.
Key Responsibilities and Job Duties
The core duties involve reviewing Request for Quotation packages, conducting commercial and technical bid evaluations, and negotiating pricing structures with local and international suppliers. The officer manages vendor pre-qualification, issues purchase orders, and monitors material delivery schedules alongside logistics teams to prevent site delays. Additional responsibilities include managing supplier performance tracking, resolving invoice claims, and coordinating cross-functional approvals between project management, engineering, and finance departments.
Candidate Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants must possess eight to fifteen years of direct procurement experience within building construction, turnkey MEP, or infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. Essential qualifications include a Bachelor degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management, deep familiarity with local Saudi supply markets, strong contract negotiation skills, and proficiency in enterprise resource planning software.
