Role Summary and Key Responsibilities
The Principal Specialist serves as a core technical leader bridging advanced analytical engineering with high-level business strategy. The appointed executive will architect, build, and deploy enterprise AI solutions designed to enhance industrial yield, operational safety, asset reliability, and decision intelligence.
Agentic AI Architecture: Lead the development and deployment of autonomous agent workflows, generative AI frameworks, and advanced analytical products into core business processes.
Business Transformation: Translate complex operational, resource extraction, and supply chain challenges into predictive machine learning models and scalable data solutions.
Technical Quality & Governance: Oversee analytical designs, model validation, performance monitoring, and MLOps frameworks to prevent model drift and ensure responsible AI adoption.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate complex AI concepts, risk assessments, and measurable business impact to operational teams, engineering leaders, and executive stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data engineers, operational technology (OT) teams, and software architects to embed real-time intelligence into site systems.
Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications
To qualify for this executive-level appointment, applicants must possess extensive technical depth and demonstrated leadership in industrial data environments:
Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in data science, advanced analytics, machine learning, AI solution delivery, or data product architecture.
Domain Technical Expertise: Proven track record in agentic AI frameworks, generative AI models, MLOps, cloud analytics platforms, and enterprise data modeling.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (a Master's Degree or Ph.D. is strongly preferred).
Industry Background: Previous experience in industrial, mining, energy, oil & gas, or asset-heavy manufacturing environments is advantageous.
Core Competencies: Expertise in consultative problem-solving, strategic roadmap development, benefit tracking, and end-to-end MLOps lifecycles.
